Sabre d’officier de chasseurs à cheval, révolution directoire consulat. Monture en laiton avec garde à une branche et calotte à longue queue. Poignée en bois gainé de veau à double filigrane d'argent. Forte lame en très bel état, courbe, à pans creux, longue de 83 cm. Fourreau d'époque en bois gainé de cuir ciré noir à deux grandes garnitures de laiton à forte teneur en cuivre reliées entre elles par deux attelles de laiton jaune. Pitons de bélière en laiton avec anneau en acier. Ceinturon en cuir verni noir de 35 mm de large avec boucle en laiton doré composée de deux plateaux ronds moulés en relief de têtes de lion et réunis entre eux par un crochet en forme de S à têtes de serpents. Ensemble jamais nettoyé, le bouton de rivure est oxydé, le ceinturon est en très bon état à l'exception d'une ébauche de fente renforcée par une basane collée.

Un certificat d'authenticité de Mr Bertrand Malvaux est fourni.
